In 2017, Giorgi Kadaria, a contemporary farmer, embarked on the establishment of walnut orchards within Giorgitsminda village, located in the Sagarejo district. At present, his farming venture spans 150 hectares, dedicated to the cultivation of Chandler walnuts. Giorgi’s perspective on farming revolves around the notion of connecting with the rhythms of the trees and the garden, immersing himself in their life force.
Giorgi Kadaria emphasizes that throughout human history, agriculture has remained an intrinsic part of daily life, an essential driver for a nation’s advancement. He asserts that a country’s progress is inherently tied to its agricultural development.
Giorgi aspires for Georgia to gain recognition for producing top-notch goods. He firmly believes that superior products cannot emerge from subpar materials. Consequently, his farming operation employs internationally standardized agricultural inputs, encompassing cutting-edge machinery, tractors, harvesters, agro-drones, drip irrigation systems, plant protection agents, fertilizers, and more.
Giorgi Kadaria further delves into his farming journey and his vision within the pages of “Agrosphere’s” “Modern Farmer” column. This video series showcases narratives from Georgian farmers, shedding light on various agricultural enterprises.
