The Georgian figure skating pair of Luka Berulava and Anastasiia Metelkina claimed a victory at the International Skating Union Challenge Cup, in Tilburg, the Netherlands, the Sports Ministry said on Tuesday.
The winning duo scored 203.92 points across two programmes, securing the top spot in the competition held last week.
Berulava and Metelkina outperformed the second-placed Dutch team by 35.85 points, topping the short programme with 70.58 points and maintaining their lead in the free programme with a score of 133.34 points.
The Georgian pair, ranked seventh in ISU’s world standings, also earned bronze medals at the European Figure Skating Championships in Estonia earlier this month, following a silver medal finish at last year’s event.
