March 12, 20252 min read

Wyndham Grand is set to build a 5-star multifunctional balneological complex in Borjomi with a $60 million investment.

The launch ceremony, attended by project investors, included Tamaz Iorashvili, Deputy Head of the Georgian Tourism Administration, and Otar Arbolishvili, Mayor of Borjomi Municipality. As part of the event, a symbolic capsule was laid in the foundation of the project. The information was released by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.

The Wyndham Grand Borjomi project will create over 300 jobs during its implementation. The complex will include a 5-star hotel, more than 400 investment residences, and a state-of-the-art balneological center. Additionally, the recreational zone will feature a zipline, a ski slope, a football field, and hiking and cycling trails.

Tamaz Iorashvili, Deputy Head of the National Tourism Administration, emphasized the project’s role in strengthening Borjomi’s status as a leading wellness and tourism destination. He noted that Borjomi and its healing springs are one of Georgia’s most recognizable assets, and the involvement of Wyndham in the project sends a strong signal to other global investors, encouraging further development of Georgia’s tourism infrastructure.

The first phase of the project is set for completion by the end of 2027, with the entire complex becoming fully operational in 2029. The Wyndham Grand Borjomi project is being developed by New City Development and Apco, in collaboration with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Aimbridge Hospitality, a global leader in hotel management.

The project is expected to enhance Borjomi’s international reputation as a premier balneological destination, attracting high-end wellness tourism and boosting Georgia’s position in the global hospitality market.
