Davit Doiashvili, Artistic Director of the Vaso Abashidze State New Theater, announced on Thursday that the company will take its performances to regions across Georgia. “Along with people, Georgian culture is being arrested,” Doiashvili noted, underscoring the challenges the cultural sector faces. Despite video appeals, halted shows, and petitions, the theater has yet to receive a response from the prosecutor’s office.
