Radisson Blu Batumi Welcomes a New General Manager

September 27, 20232 min read

We are delighted to announce a change in leadership at Radisson Blu Batumi. Mr. Alex Kobelashvili will be transitioning from his role at the esteemed Tsinandli Estate to take the helm at Radisson Blu Batumi and the residential complex “Green Cape Botanico”.

Mr. Kobelashvili became a valued member of the Silk Hospitality team in 2020, boasting an impressive 13 years of experience within the hotel and restaurant sector. For the preceding two years, Alex has served as the General Manager of Tsinandli estate “Radisson Collection”, having previously held the position of Operations Manager at the same establishment.

“I am both honoured and humbled to assume the role of General Manager at Radisson Blu Batumi, a hotel that stands as a symbol of the city. Crafted by the legendary Italian architect Michele de Lucchi, this establishment has been at the hands of an exceptional team for many years. Batumi is my hometown; I have fond memories of the hotel’s inauguration and witnessed its positive impact on tourism within the city and the region. I am confident that, together with my team, we will achieve even greater successes.

In addition to the hotel, I will be overseeing the exceptional project of Silk Development – Green Cape Botanico, ensuring a five-star service is delivered to all apartment owners.

I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the team and founders of Silk Hospitality for the trust they have placed in me.” – Alex Kobelashvili

The architectural elegance of the 168-room Radisson Blu Batumi is the creation of Italian designer and architect Michele de Lucchi. Opened in 2011, the hotel is a successful development project of the Silk Road Group.

Radisson Blu Batumi offers an array of facilities including 2 restaurants, 3 bars, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, modern and fully equipped conference rooms, a spa and fitness centre, and Casino Iveria. The hotel proudly operates under the management of Silk Hospitality.
