Gudauri, Georgia’s winter destination, hosted the international jazz festival Winter Jazz Gudauri last Thursday and Friday. The Mountain Trails Agency had announced on the preceding Saturday that eleven artists from different countries would participate in the event.
Organized by Eastern Promotions, the company that promotes in the Caucasus region, in partnership with the MTA and the National Tourism Administration, the festival was opened by the Georgian musical artist Soulidan.
Legendary house artists, including Kenny Bobien, often referred to as the “King of Gospel House Music,” Grammy Award-nominated Josh Milan, and British multi-instrumentalist Kaidi Tatham, played at the festival.
The program also featured an American “dance music icon” DJ Spen, Greg Gauthier, a French producer and DJ, as well as French DJ Afshin. American musician Scott Kinsey and his stellar group closed the first day of the festival with the project – We Speak Luniwaz: the Music of Joe Zawinul.
