The Georgian National Film Centre announced on Tuesday that a newly restored version of filmmaker Tengiz Abuladze’s Someone Else’s Children will have its world premiere at the 54th International Film Festival Rotterdam. The screening, part of the festival’s Cinema Regained programme, will take place between January 30 and February 9.

Created in 2023 with support from the Georgian National Film Centre and the Ministry of Culture, the restored version celebrates the enduring legacy of Abuladze’s cinematic masterpiece. The International Film Festival Rotterdam, an annual event known for showcasing independent and experimental works, is held at the end of January in multiple venues across the Dutch city.
