We are now just over two months away from the 2025 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. This year, the international music festival will be hosted in Tbilisi. The contest will take place on December 13th in the Small Hall of the New Sports Palace. Georgian Public Broadcaster, which is co-organizing this year’s Junior Eurovision together with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), has recently revealed the list of participating countries, the first images of the stage design, and the visual theme.

How many countries will take part in this year’s Junior Eurovision?
The 23rd edition of Junior Eurovision will feature 18 participating countries. Two countries that competed last year—Estonia and Germany—are not returning. However, three countries are making a comeback after a long break: Azerbaijan (last seen in 2021), Montenegro (last competed in 2015), and Croatia—the very first winner of Junior Eurovision—which has been absent since 2015.
