Hotel Telegraph — A New Place of Attraction in the Heart of Tbilisi

September 18, 20254 min read

Just three months after its opening, the Hotel Telegraph on Tbilisi’s main avenue is now offering guests several brand-new spaces. On the ground floor, the Tatuza Jazz Club has opened its doors, honoring the legacy of the legendary Georgian jazz musician Tamaz Khurashvili. On the top floor, the Rolling Stone Rooftop Bar was launched, making it the first bar in the region associated with the iconic international music brand. Additionally, the terrace restaurant Philosofico promises to be a delightful discovery for lovers of Italian cuisine.

George Ramishvili, Founder at Silk Road Group: – “The Telegraph has quickly become one of the city”s main attractions and a cherished meeting place. In addition to the restaurants already operating in the hotel, we have now introduced a jazz club, the Rolling Stone Bar, and an Italian restaurant. The Tatuza Jazz Club was inaugurated with a historic concert featuring Stanley Clarke, Beka Gochiashvili, and Dennis Chambers. Until now, Tbilisi has not had a jazz club of this caliber. From now on, we will be hosting live concerts and inviting all jazz enthusiasts to enjoy them at the Tatuza Jazz Club. On the top floor, we opened a bar under the legendary American brand Rolling Stone, launched with a phenomenal concert by Nik West. We are confident this will become one of Tbilisi’s most outstanding music venues.

The Telegraph Hotel is part of a broader development strategy for the Republic Square, as envisioned by our group. I would like to thank all our partners and team members who turned this ambitious idea into reality. A special thanks to TBC Bank and Bank of Georgia; we have successfully implemented numerous projects together.”

“I am very happy to be here today. The hotel’s opening in June went exceptionally well and left a lasting impression on many guests. Wise people say that to be happy, one must either accept reality or change it. We, the partners, chose to change the reality of this place — and we succeeded with this hotel. It is a space where people come together, where they feel happy, and where they share respect and love for one another. Today, I am thrilled to announce that the hotel is now joined by the extraordinary Rolling Stone Bar and the Tatuza Jazz Club. Tatuza will remain with us forever. A big thank you to everyone who is here today and to all those who will visit the Telegraph in future.” – Yerkin Tatishev, Partner, addressing guests at the opening ceremony.

The architectural concept for the reconstruction of the Telegraph building was developed by renowned architect Lyndon Neri, the founder of the international studio Neri&Hu. He realized Silk Road Group’s vision by transforming the historic building into a modern, multifunctional urban space that gains new significance within the city’s cultural and social landscape.

With its unique design, varied cultural programming, and exceptional hospitality, The Telegraph sets a new hospitality standard in Tbilisi. Silk Development led the reconstruction of the Telegraph building, while hotel operations are managed by Silk Hospitality.

The 5-star Hotel Telegraph offers 239 rooms of various categories, along with a range of entertainment and workspace areas. As a member of the prestigious international collection, The Leading Hotels of the World, Hotel Telegraph is a significant project by Silk Road Group and is part of the unified development concept for the Republic Square. The holding invested €65 million in the renovation of the Telegraph building.
