Tsinandali Estate and Radisson Collection Hotel Host the Famous TV Show “From Scratch” in Collaboration with the Georgian National Tourism Administration

The producer of the world-renowned reality show “From Scratch,” David Raphael Moscow, recently visited the Tsinandali Estate, A Radisson Collection Hotel where he prepared the Georgian dish Chakafuli with the brand chef of Silk Hospitality, Irakli Asatiani. This segment will be part of the upcoming season episode dedicated to Georgia. As part of a new marketing campaign by the Georgian National Tourism Administration, the Hollywood producer and actor, along with his film crew, explored Georgian gastronomy. They also shared Georgian culture and history at the Tsinandali Estate, with the Georgian agency “1991 Productions” involved in the filming process.

“From Scratch” is an American show, now in its fourth season, available on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, and Tastemade. Host David Moscow has explored various fascinating corners of the world, including Sri Lanka, Thailand, Kenya, Mexico, France, and many more. The show introduces viewers to unique local dishes and cultures from these countries. One of the significant episodes of the fifth season will highlight Georgia.

“David Raphael Moscow has visited different regions of Georgia and will share the unique Georgian traditions, culture, and eight-thousand-year-old winemaking heritage with the world. The program ‘From Scratch’ airs in 18 European countries and the USA. I believe this will contribute to the promotion of Georgian gastronomy and wine, increasing awareness of the country both in Europe and the USA, and will attract more travelers to Georgia,” said Maya Omiadze, head of the Georgian National Tourism Administration.

At the Tsinandali Estate, Silk Hospitality’s brand chef, Irakli Asatiani, shared Georgian cuisine and culture with David Moscow, conducting a master class on preparing Chakapuli. David then sourced ingredients from local entrepreneurs and traveled to Tusheti, before returning to the Tsinandli Estate, A Radisson Collection Hotel to prepare Chakapuli under the chef’s guidance.

“Tsinandali Estate is one of the most impressive places in Georgia today, where guests can travel back in time while experiencing the harmonious blend of modern elements. The estate continues the tradition of Alexander Chavchavadze: it follows classical European winemaking and preserves the Georgian 8,000-year-old qvevri winemaking tradition, which is very fascinating for international guests. During his stay, David also visited the historical oenotheque of Aleksandre Chavchavadze, which holds the prince’s valuable wine collection of 16,500 bottles. Among them is the oldest wine in Georgia, bottled in 1841 – Tsinandli Manor Saperavi of 1839,” said Irakli Asatiani.
